The Program
Ivy Hill Arts envisions hosting artists in both work and residential spaces on a yearly timeline, and for up to two years. With the objective of cultivating a cohort of artists practicing a variety of disciplines, resident artists will be considered via nomination.
In Ivy Hill Arts’ inaugural year, 2023, the first artist cohort will participate as co-creators in shaping how the residency program will ultimately support resident artists in the years to come.
Artist Nomination
Are you a local artist or would like to participate in Ivy Hill Arts’ 2023 inaugural program either as a resident or user of the studio work space? Do you know a local artist whom you would like to nominate to be included?
Share your artist nominations with us at info@ivyhillarts.com
For each nomination, please include:
- Artist’s name & contact information
- 1-2 sentences about why you’ve nominated them
- Arts medium, and a link to their work (personal website, Instagram, etc.)
- Whether you believe this artist would benefit most from a residential space (private room + bath), a work space (studio), or both
- What this artist might bring to the effort to create a vibrant creative community
Nominations for artists who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Color, queer, and/or are from marginalized communities are encouraged. All backgrounds and faiths are warmly welcome.
As this is an emergent program, there are currently no deadlines or nomination criteria, though a goal of the program is to bring artists together of diverse practices, backgrounds, and at different points in their careers. We seek to fill up to 13 bedrooms and 6 private studios in early 2023. The first artist cohort will participate as co-creators in shaping how the residency program will ultimately support resident artists in the years to come.
Following the nomination process, artists will be invited to apply. An advisory board of local artists and arts professionals will review applications. Updates about the advisory board, application criteria, and program developments will be posted here, as relevant.
We look forward to your communications.
